With a total of 1,500 square meters on three floors, Beijing BANMOO Gallery is a space that goes as far as studying design issues and encouraging open dialogues that revolve around modern Chinese lifestyle, a subject matter manifest in every item on display here.
The Gallery is tucked away at Caochangdi Art Zone, a grand forum that facilitates the generation, promotion and exchange of ideas. Talented contemporary artists are brought together by the clustering of world-class studios such as Chambers Fine Art, ShanghART Gallery, Galerie Urs Meile and Three Shadows Photography Art Center.
Since its opening in 2014, Beijing BANMOO Gallery has either sponsored or organized a number of cultural events, including a Naamyam concert, a Tang Hui (a sort of communal fest in the past often celebrated at home) about modern lifestyle, a special session of Beijing Design Week on the topic of design journey, a talk about “Redefining the Chinese Way of Living” and a designers’ workshop.
